The Value of 5 Min Meditations
We can use meditation to create mini resets throughout the day.Â
I teach meditation as a tool to help improve the quality of our lives, and one of the biggest ways we can do that is by taking these mini resets throughout the day. If you want to stabilize an emotion in five minutes, there are meditations that can help.
We can stabilize our emotions, and we can also work with pain in that time. If you’re dealing with chronic pain, there are five-minute meditations that can help by bringing attention into the body in a positive way and visualizing golden-white light in areas of discomfort to help relieve what we’re feeling. Sometimes, by taking this time, we let our system know that we’re checking in.
We’re checking in with ourselves. We’re tending to our mood. And we’re choosing to be deliberate about the thoughts we think, the emotions we feel, and the experiences we have. That’s what makes mini resets such a powerful tool: moment by moment throughout the day, you can redirect your thinking, feeling, believing, and experiencing. In a short window of time, you can change your perspective.
And sometimes we want that, especially when we want positive results or better outcomes. If you’re fired up about something and need to have a discussion with someone, will you get the same result as you would if you took two or five minutes—or even one minute—to breathe, release that fired-up energy, and then take clear, positive, deliberate action? That’s why we do the mini resets.
So enjoy my ever-expanding meditations I’ve created. Let them help you.
