Meditation, Life force Energy and Presence: A Path to Relaxation

chakra & aura Aug 16, 2026

My talk today is about how to use the power of our attention with our subtle energy systems, and how to use guided meditations I have created for you on my breathwork app, where you learn to use meditations as part of your presence practice.

One of the most powerful things we have is our attention. When we do focused meditations, we can take our attention off the mind for a little while and place it back on our subtle bodies. We can bring a higher level of ease and comfort to our physical bodies.

That is one of the primary values of a focused attention meditation practice. We refocus our attention on our energy systems, such as our chakras, emotional body, or etheric body—anywhere within our energetic system.

We have an aura, and within that aura are seven layers. That is our personal space, our personal energy system. We tend to those energy systems by placing our attention on them.

Through meditation practice, we can bring healthy energy into our energy systems with the power of our attention and intention. Those are two very powerful tools we have within our own being to manifest the level of health we want in our energy systems.

Part of how we do that is through our attention. As we begin a meditation practice, we learn to redirect our attention away from the mind, situations, other people, the past, and the future. Then we can redirect it back into the self and give ourselves the benefit of our own attention, rather than losing vital life force energy when our attention becomes misplaced.

So we embark on a practice where we learn how to place our attention back on the physical body, the energetic bodies, the chakras, and the meridians. By doing so, we can move life force energy—chi, prana—through the energy bodies and energetic systems to bring health to the physical body, along with mental clarity, emotional balance, ease, comfort, and presence.

We can become truly present by placing our attention on our energy and energetic bodies. Doing that brings us out of mental activity and into feeling, sensing, seeing, and redirecting. It breaks a pattern.

Through guided meditation, we can break that pattern, and we have more presence in the moment. The act of sitting down to meditate is itself a pattern interrupter. Putting our attention back on the body and on the energy fields also brings us more fully into the moment, because that is what is happening right now.

Starting a presence practice by putting our attention back into the body breaks the stream of thinking and our attachment to it. It can do that long enough to give us some space from that stream of thinking—and relief from it.

When you get into the practice of taking your attention off the mind and into the body, and off the mind and into the energy field, often enough, you will find that you can do that throughout the day. You can take a two-minute meditation. I love two-minute meditations. They are simply an opportunity to breathe and reset yourself throughout the day.

When we give ourselves even two minutes to reset through breathwork, placing our attention back on the body and the energy field, we begin to use our attention powerfully. That is why we want to learn how to use our attention like this: because it can break the momentum of the mind and thinking, and disconnect us from collective and past thinking.

By breaking our stream of thinking, we are unplugging from a whole system of thought. When we do it often enough, eventually the system of thinking that was in place—the one sustained by ongoing negative thinking, ongoing belief in the thought, resonance with the thought, and vibrational alignment with it—begins to weaken.

By going back into the energy systems, we unplug from that whole structure of thinking. Going within can change how we perceive things, which in turn changes our thoughts. That changes the frequency and vibration of our being and our thinking, which may no longer match the old structure of thoughts we had been feeding. When that structure is no longer being fed, it begins to break down.

When we practice meditation and put our attention back into the body, we gain the ability to break that structure bit by bit.

So the power of our attention—one of the most powerful things we have—is something we can give back to our energy system to bring health and ease into it. We can also use it to break away from harmful thought patterns. We want to give ourselves back to ourselves.

In the end, the way we use our attention shapes the quality of our inner experience. When we gently bring our focus back from mental noise, old patterns, and external distractions, we create space for healing, presence, and deeper self-connection. Through meditation, even in just a few quiet minutes, we can nourish our energy system, restore balance, and return to ourselves with greater clarity, ease, and compassion. The more often we practice, the more naturally this way of being supports us in everyday life.

In my guided meditation apps, I offer meditations to help you develop a presence practice that cultivates the ability to heal, grow, and transform.

I look forward to meditating with you.
